Migrating Fairing to Shopify Checkout Extensions

When upgrading to Shopify's new Thank You Page and Order Status Page (Checkout Extensions), you'll need to add the Fairing app block to continue displaying your survey to customers.

How to Add the Fairing App Block

Follow these steps to migrate your Fairing surveys:

1. Navigate to your Shopify admin and go to the checkout editor

2. Add the Fairing app block to both the Thank You page and Order Status page

3. Save your changes

What to Expect During Setup

In the Checkout Editor: When you add the Fairing app block, you'll see a generic preview question in the editor. This is just a placeholder - your actual configured Fairing questions will appear to customers once you save the block.

Styling: The app block will use your theme's default styling since Shopify doesn't allow customizations on checkout extensions. The appearance may look different from your previous setup, but this is expected behavior.

Your Questions: All your existing Fairing questions and configurations will automatically work with the new app block - no additional setup required.

Before You Migrate

If you haven't upgraded to Checkout Extensions yet, your current Fairing surveys will continue working on the old thank you page. The migration is only necessary when you switch to the new Thank You/Order Status pages.
