What does each question type mean?

Fairing's Question Stream allows you to ask six different types of questions: single response, multi-response, open-ended, date response and net promoter score.
Single Response
A single response question allows the customer to choose one response from their options. With a single response question you have the ability to ask a follow up question based on the response the customer initially selects.
Multi-Response
A multi-response question allows the customer to select as many responses as they would like from a list. With multi-response you cannot add follow up questions because the customer may select more than one response. We recommend using single-response questions if you would like to include a follow up question.
Open Ended
An open ended question allows the customer to write in their own response
Date Response
A date response uses a drop down to capture a date. You can set this to ask for month, day, and year, or limit it to only month and day.
NPS
NPS is a net promotor score, which offers a scale of 0-10 for your customer to choose from. You can customize the labels on this question and ask a follow up for each response submitted.
Auto-Suggest
An auto-suggest question type shows your customers an open ended text entry field. Once your customer starts typing, a dropdown will appear that draws on a list of preexisting answers uploaded during question creation. We recommend using auto-suggest if you have a long list of response options. This will lead to cleaner data than leaving it as an open ended question. Common use cases are for podcast and influencer lists.
